The modernization of Brazilian ports

Super Terminais was born from a long-term vision: to contribute to the logistics development of Amazonas through an efficient private port operation, close to the industrial hub and prepared to meet the challenges of the region.

Over nearly three decades, the company has consolidated a trajectory marked by continuous investment, operational innovation, and commitment to the logistics continuity of Manaus. From the first operation in 1996 to the current expansion and sustainability projects, its history mirrors the modernization of Brazilian port infrastructure.

OUR TRAJECTORY

30 years of history

A history built on infrastructure investment, operational innovation, and commitment to logistics development in Amazonas.

The 1990s

Origins, entrepreneurial vision, and start of operations

On October 4, 1996, on the banks of the Negro River, Super Terminais carried out its first operation following the Port Modernization Act (Federal Law No. 8,630/1993).

An opportunity emerged to create a Private Use Terminal (TUP) outside the public port area, driven by the Di Gregorio family experience in transport, logistics, and warehousing.

The strategic location approximately 20 minutes from the Manaus Free Trade Zone provides efficient access to the industrial hub and better operating conditions.

The 2000s

Structural expansion and modernization

In 2004, the floating pier was inaugurated, a decisive milestone in the company modernization and operational capacity.

In 2005, the container terminal was launched, broadening the range of services. This decade also marked the beginning of recurrent investments in equipment and team training, consolidating Super Terminais as a benchmark in Amazonian port logistics.

The 2010s

Certifications, technology, and sustainability

The 2010s were marked by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, reinforcing commitment to quality and environmental management. In 2015, the Port Management Authorization (APO) was obtained by ANTAQ.

The Dry Port was established, significantly expanding customs and intermodal logistics capacity. The first ESG initiatives were also structured in this decade.

The 2020s

Resilience and accelerated growth

Even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Super Terminais maintained its operations, demonstrating the resilience and strategic importance of port logistics for the Manaus region.

The company achieved 30% growth in annual container volume and initiated the River Port Hub project, a shared logistics hub to expand operations in Amazonas.

2023

New terminals and expansion of the ESG agenda

In 2023, Super Terminais expanded with the opening of two new terminals: the Vehicle Terminal and the Bulk Liquid Terminal, strengthening operations across more segments of the productive chain.

The ESG agenda gained new dimensions with the launch of the Green Port Initiative and the Careers Program, focused on professional development and valorization of people.

2026 and beyond

River Port Hub and the future of Amazon logistics

The River Port Hub represents the next major milestone: a shared logistics hub integrating port, customs, and intermodal operations, consolidating Super Terminais as a regional logistics hub.

With more than 30 years of history and a solid foundation, the company moves toward the future committed to sustainability, social development, and the expansion of logistics frontiers in the Amazon.

More than cargo, these are 30 years of moving stories.
